Job Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable, and courteous service to clients
  • Strong organization, analytical, and follow up skills
  • Demonstrated ability to self-manage
  • Ideally a minimum of 2 years related experience in a design-based business in a sales support or customer service position
  • Excellent computer skills are essential, experience with a CRM and Adobe Creative Suite a plus

Responsibilities

  • Help prepare quotes and proposals, and maintain sales database
  • Act as a point of contact between the studio and clients, including facilitation of sales
  • Maintain open communication across multiple parties regarding project timelines, tracking, lead times, custom orders
  • Provide support with additional duties and special projects as needed
  • Help cultivate a positive atmosphere and perform as part of a team with the common goal of meeting and exceeding expectations of service and quality within the luxury interiors community
  • Trade show participation at our annual NYC design event

Packing and Shipping

Makers of fine, hand-blown glass lighting, Tracy Glover Studio relies on the care and effectiveness of our packers and assembly team. We are currently seeking a packer/studio assistant to add to our growing team in Pawtucket, RI, where you will pack finished product in accordance with standard packaging procedures, while maintaining quality standards and efficient production. Our ideal candidate is exceptionally detail-oriented and able to track and complete multiple facets of product packaging as well as assisting in other areas of production. By utilizing your strong communication skills and attention to detail, you will help us prepare some beautiful, fragile, and intricate products for shipment.

Objectives of this Role

  • Follow company packing procedures and standards
  • Handle inventory with care and attention to detail
  • Follow company safety policies and procedures
  • Ensure product orders are packed and moved carefully 
  • Assist in other areas of the studio as needed

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities

  • Work at different stations as production requires
  • Inspect, weigh, and package products
  • Maintain glass and metal sample stock
  • Prepare shipments and estimates using UPS WorldShip, USPS, and Worldwide Express
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Run occasional errands

Skills and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least 21 years old
  • Able to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Able to stand up to 4 hours at a time
  • Detail-oriented
  • Must own a car for occasional errands

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in an artist’s studio or manufacturing environment
  • Communication and phone skills to connect with vendors and customers
